Miles was awarded its ISO 9001:2000 quality certification in 2007 by the company SGS. What does this mean for you?
In brief, it means that our working method is constantly subject to strict controls and that any necessary improvements are made.
As an example, many translation companies claim that their translations are ‘revised’, but what does this really involve? At Miles Translations and Miles Medical Translations, each translation is compared line by line with the original text. This final check is completed by an experienced translator who specialises in the relevant subject area. And we even go slightly further than this for our medical translations; the texts are translated by doctors and then revised by linguistic experts who check the grammatical and stylistic quality of the work.
Another example is that all of our translators are hand-picked. Before being invited to join our team, they have to demonstrate their skills by means of a solid translation test. They then receive regular comments from our revisers, enabling them to develop and provide an ever-more targeted service for our clients.
Does our ISO certification apply only to Miles Translations, Miles Medical Translations and Miles Subtitling?
No, our ISO certificate also has another important advantage: it makes Miles Academy an approved training provider. You can therefore use training vouchers for your lessons and take advantage of reductionsofup to 50%.
